Why Moscow? – Moscow has more than 20 years experience in stem cell transplantation in MS.
Well, that the Russians have excellent doctors is no secret. In space medicine, Russia is now in first place worldwide.
Prior to my treatment, I had contacted patients who were already in Moscow for stem cell transplantation. Everyone reported very positively about the clinic in Moscow and recommended it to me.
Dr. Federenko personally looks after all his patients every day. Even after release, he keeps contact by e-mail and / or his private mobile number. I have never met such a dedicated doctor. The nursing staff is also very well positioned. No one seems stressed, but always happy and ready in less than a minute, if you ever ring. But that is hardly necessary, because they see anyway very, very often in the day after one.
Not allowed in Germany?
For a license, it is allegedly missing from studies that have been internationally but quite well for years.
Stem cell transplantations in MS are e.g. in Canada, Sweden, Mexico, Israel, Chicago, China, … performed. This treatment has also been offered in Switzerland in the form of a registry study since July 2018. The selection criteria are very strict, the number of participants is limited and the study is limited in time. I applied and received an invitation. The advice would cost me 1500 Chf, a possible treatment is taken over only for Swiss health insurance patients from the general health insurance – but I would have to finance the approximately 100-160,000 Chf itself. Apart from the higher price, I have to say quite honestly: Experience plays an important role in this treatment, I think. That’s why I canceled Switzerland and deliberately chose Moscow.
Looking back, it can be said: an absolutely good and right decision!
